Christmas is over, the new year is upon us, and I am ready to get back into things now that Rosalie is 6 weeks old! Some important dates to take note of: 1. The new Occasions Mini Catalog begins on January 4.  I had a VERY hard time picking what to order from this catalog....there are a lot of fun things that I will be highlighting on my blog in the weeks to come! Start regularly checking my blog (http://katrinakraftsalatte.blogspot.com) or better yet, subscribe to my blog in the upper corner so that you are emailed everytime I post something new! 2.  Sale-A-Bration begins January 25! This is my favorite time of year (second only to Christmas).  If you are new to SU, during this time, for every $50 you spend you get to pick something free from the Sale-A-Bration (SAB) catalog! There are also extra benefits for hostesses of parties and benefits to signing up as a demonstrator.  It is fantastic!  Start plotting your workshop soon, as I hope to fill up my calendar with parties....don't miss your chance! I am working out the details to offer a couple of "product clubs" during SAB so stay tuned! I have blocked off Friday nights and Saturday early afternoons January 25 through March 31 to schedule in home workshops/parties. You host your friends for a fun time of making a card, learning about Stampin Up, and hopefully earning some great hostess benefits in free products! These are not the only dates available, so if there is another date you are thinking of, check with me! A catalog party is also an option! I also want to take this moment to let you know about some new "policies" that I will be implementing and actually enforcing beginning in January.  The first change is in regard to adhesive.  In order to continue to offer my classes and clubs at what I feel is a reasonable fee for you, I will no longer be providing mono adhesive.  I will provide glue sticks and double sided permanent scotch tape  which are both more cost effective but will do the job equally as well.  If you prefer to use the mono adhsive/tape runner, please feel more than welcome to bring your own! The second change is in regard to payment of classes.  In order to protect myself from being "stuck" with supplies and pre cut projects that do not get used due to someone backing out of a class, I am now going to REQUIRE pre-payment for all classes.  When you sign up you can pay by paypal, pop a check in the mail, or drop one off at my house. I hope that you all understand and realize it is only to protect myself from wasting both supplies and money on "no shows."  Finally, since I have so many little children and it takes some significant "pre-planning" with my husband's schedule to hold my classes, I will cancel any classes that have fewer than 2 people signed up to attend. I have allowed for ample time between the RSVP date and the date of the class to give you plenty of notice if a class is going to be canceled. On to the super fun stuff!  The schedule of classes for January! Stamp Club-January 12 at 6:30pm (Linda is hostess!) Make A Monster Card Class-January 18 at 6:30pm.  Cost is $10.  We will make 8 cards that highlight the stamp set Make A Monster on page 95 of the Idea Book and Catalog.  If you choose to purchase the stamp set BEFORE the class to use at the class, the class fee will be waived for you! (FREE class!).  I have been having a ton of fun using this stamp set! You must RSVP and pay for your class (and place your order if doing so) by Januray 7. Chicks and Chocolate-January 27 at 6:30pm. Cost is $25.  I am SO excited for this class! We will make projects that are Valentine's Day themed, and each project will incorporate CHOCOLATE!!!! Stay tuned for samples, but reserve your spot NOW! Sneak peek-1 project will involve a decorated tin containing Hershey's nuggets! RSVP and pay by January 14. Wild Card Class-January 29 at 6:00pm. Choose from any of the 3 classes being offered in January and take this time to "make up" the class.  The purpose of this is to give you the chance to take a class you want to take but that you can't make it to the scheduled class time.  Cost will be whatever is listed for the class you are choosing to make up...RSVP and pay by January 7. Build A Card Kit-January 31 at 6:30pm. Cost is $25. RSVP and pay by January 14. Imagine that you are having one of those moments when you realize you need a card and you don’t have one. What do you do? Panic, pretend to forget the occasion and deal with the guilt, or make a midnight run to the store? Instead, imagine the lack of stress when you simply open your Build-a-Card kit and select and add a pre-made card, a pre-stamped greeting tag, and a card candy embellishment. Done! Add postage and send or hand-deliver your special handmade card for any occasion at a moments notice. Avoid stress and frustration by having great cards ready to customize in an instant! In this class we will make:  • 8 Cards • 12 Coordinating Greeting Tags • 12 Coordinating Card Candy Accents • 1 Coordinating Card File Purse As always, I can make the projects in any of these classes for you for an additional $5 fee. April Schedule

Notecard Portfolio--Wednesday, April 7 @ 6:30pm


We will make this fun portfolio which slides into a box, as well as 8 cards with envelopes! Cost is $20. You must RSVP by March 26. I will order these materials at the time you RSVP, so I ask that you attend the class or at least pay for the class. Here is what we will make:

Spring Bling—Sunday, April 11 @ 2pm
We will make 5 cards, each with some special embelishments or "bling." Cost is $8. Envelopes available for purchase for .25 a piece.  Please RSVP by April 1.

Product Focus-Build A Brad Class—Thursday, April 15 @ 6:30pm

Tonight we will use the Build A Brads (on page 179 of your catalog) and the ½ inch circle punch! I will teach you how to use these products! You will make 4 cards (2 of 2 designs) and go home with the remainder of your Build A Brads and a ½ inch circle punch to keep! Cost is $25 (includes your own set of Build A Brads and the ½ inch circle punch to keep). Please RSVP by April 5. If you RSVP for this event you must pay for the class whether you attend or not, as I have to order these materials in advance.

 

Five For Five—Saturday, April 17 at 2pm
We will make 5 cards for $5.00.  This class is free with a $25 purchase or more the day of the class. Please RSVP by April 8. Envelopes available for purchase for .25 a piece.  Here is what we will make:

Spring Notecard Class-Saturday, April 24 at 1:00pm
We will make an adorable box, along with 6 notecards with envelopes. Cost is $20.  Please RSVP by April 14 or sooner. You must pay for this class whether you attend or not, as all materials will be ordered in ahead of time. Here is what we will make (thanks to demonstrator Becky Roberts for the inspiration):

Fun File Folder Notepad Cover-Wednesday, April 28 @7pm
We will make a cover for a notepad using Stampin Up's file folders! Cost is $15. Please RSVP by April 19.

Stamp Club—Thursday, April 29 @ 6:30pm

Members meet once a month to socialize, swap cards, learn new techniques and make projects I have prepared for them! Each member places a $25 order and we rotate the hostess benefits each month. This Stamp Club is currently full but if you are interested, let me know and I will put your name on a list. When we have another 6 people interested in forming a club, I will let you know and we will begin meeting! The current stamp club runs through June and at that point can accept new members. Contact me with any questions!

March schedule/newsletter

I have had some requests to offer this class again. There is a slight change on it though. Two cost options: If you want to pick your own Designer Series Paper to make your magnets with and decorate your tin, the cost is $30 (you will keep the extra paper). If you want me to provide you with paper (no extra to keep) to make your project, cost is $20. Please RSVP by Feb 19, and let me know which option you want to sign up for. Birthday Card Keepsake Box—Thursday, March 11 @ 6:30pm OR Saturday, March 13 at 2pm

We will decorate a Keepsake box and make dividers which will have space to write birthdays and anniversaries for each month. Then to get you started with your box of birthday cards, we will make 10 birthday cards with envelopes! Start filling this box so you always have a handmade birthday card on hand and ready to give! A great way to stay organized! Cost is $25. Please RSVP by February 25 so I may get your supplies in time.

Easter Card Class—Tuesday, March 16 @ 7pm

We will make 10 Easter cards (5 designs, 2 of each design)! Cost is $12. Envelopes will be available for purchase for .25 each if you need them.

Scrapbook Class—Monday, March 22 at 7pm

Tonight we will make a 2 page scrapbook layout! Cost is $12.

Stamp Club—Thursday, March 25 @ 6:30pm

February Stamp Class Schedule

Here is the schedule for February's classes.  I am working on samples as we speak and will be adding them onto this site througout the next week or two.

Valentine's Treat Box-Tuesday, February 2 at 7pm, Cost $12
We will make a fun box filled with treats. We will use chipboard coasters to create the box, and cover it with your choice of paper from the new specialty paper, Sending Love.


Mini Valentine's Class-Monday, February 8 at 7pm, Cost $12
We will make 10 adorable sucker holders and a treat holder during this class.


Sweetheart Class-Wednesday, February 10 at 6:30pm, Cost $15 (RSVP by January 28)
You will make 12 Valentine's cards filled with treats.  We will use the new, heart shaped treat cups that I emailed to you as a flyer a couple of weeks ago.

What's Cooking Class-Thursday, February 18 at 6:30pm OR Sunday, February 28 at 3pm, Cost $20 (RSVP by February 5)
We will make a unique recipe book for your favorite and most frequently used recipes!

Open Scrapbook or Project Night-Friday, February 19 at 6:30pm-Cost FREE
Come with your projects and scrapbooks for a relaxing night of girl talk and crafts! I'll make a treat for you to have as well.  If you want to do a class during this night, let me know which class (there will be a cost for the class).  This can serve as a wild card night for you to do a class that you were unable to attend earlier in the month, or in the month of January.


Birthday Card Stamp A Stack-Monday, February 22 at 7pm, Cost $12
We will make 10 birthday cards tonight!  Envelopes available for purchase for .25 a piece.


Stamp Club-Thursday, February 25 at 6:30pm
Stamp Club meets once a month on the last Thursday of the month. We learn new techniques and make fun projects and cards. As well, as enjoying refreshments and a card swap.  Hostess benefits rotate among the  members each month.  If you are interested in Stamp Club, let me know and I can put your name on the waiting list OR if 6 new people want to create a second stamp club, that would be wonderful!


Sale-A-Bration Open House-Saturday, February 27 at 2-4pm, Cost FREE
Come for a cute make and take, view a variety of items on display, enjoy refreshments, and look through the newest catalogs!  Place an order on this day totaling $50 or more and you will be entered into the monthly drawing for a 20% off coupon!

Do you have some Thank You notes to send out for all your gifts this season? We will make 8 cards with envelopes!  There will be 4 designs, you will make 2 of each design. Class Fee is $10.00. RSVP by January 5 at 5pm.

December Stamp Class Schedule

We'll have an abbreviated schedule for classes in December due to the holidays!


Stamping on Candles-Thursday, December 3 at 7pm. Cost is $12.  You can view the sample here. Please RSVP by Tuesday, December 1.

Giant Nugget Box (photo coming soon)-Tuesday, December 8 at 7pm. Cost is $15.  We will make a cute compartmentalized box that will hold 4 3x3 cards and 3 hershey nugget bars! Participants will also receive the directions so they can make more at home! RSVP by Monday, December 7.

Gettin Punchy-Thursday, December 10 at 7pm-This month we will focus on the Ornament Punch featured in the mini catalog.  We'll make some fun projects with the punch and you'll receive the punch at class to keep!  Cost is $20.  You must RSVP by 5pm on November 30 so I can place the order for the punches! Note: Cost for the punch alone (not including s/h and tax) is $15.95 so this is a fantastic deal for you!

Season of Friendship Frame-Monday, December 14 at 7pm-We will make an adorable decorative frame using the Season of Friendship Stamp Set.  Cost of the class is $30 and includes the stamp set for you to keep! See the photo below.  Please RSVP by December 3.

So far I have 4 people now who have expressed a definite interest in starting up a Stamp Club. We need 2 more so we are almost there!  Stamp Club will meet once a month to make projects and learn new techniques.  Each person will also place a $25 SU order, and we will rotate the hostess benefits among the members. So, each person will be hostess 1 time and receive a hostess set and $15 in free money! Please let me know if you want to participate!

Sale-A-Bration kicks off January 5 and goes until March 31.  Let's start getting workshops on the books now!  You can host your workshop at your place or mine!  What is involved in a workshop?  It's easy on you! Invite your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors to come make a couple of projects and learn more about Stampin Up products. Then there is time to socialize, enjoy some light refreshments that you have provided, and peruse the catalog!  During Sale-a-bration, for every $50 you spend, you receive a FREE item from the Sale-a-bration catalog! As a hostess, you also get a free item from the SAB catalog on top of the regular hostess benefits when your workshop sales reach $300.  As a BONUS, when you book your workshop with me, you will get to pull a "mystery" stamp set for yourself from my grab bag!

"Wild Card" Class Added to November Schedule

I have added one more class option to the November schedule!

On Saturday, November 14 at 7pm you may come for a Wild Card Class. That means you can let me know what class you want to do from the November schedule, and I will have the supplies ready for you!  For instance, let's say you really want to do the Serene Snowflakes class that is being offered on Thursday, November 12, but you are busy on that day. You can choose to do this class on Saturday, November 14 at 7pm during the Wild Card Class...it's your free pass to do a class that you want to do but doesn't work in your schedule! Let me know if you have any questions.

When you sign up, be sure to tell me which class you want to do!  Please RSVP by November 6.

We will make 8 cards with envelopes with a Harvest/Thanksgiving Theme!  There will be 4 designs, you will make 2 of each design. Class Fee is $10.00.

We will make 4 cards using the Serene Snowflakes set on page 26 of the Holiday Mini Catalog.  This is a BEAUTIFUL stamp set!  The stamp set for you to keep is included in the class fee of $25.00. (envelopes can be purchased for .25 a piece at the class if you need them). The stamp set alone would cost you $20.95 plus tax/shipping so this is a fantastic deal for you! You can do this class as a "mail order" where I will make the cards for you and send them, along with the stamp set to you for an additional $5.00.

Sunny Day Card Portfolio- Saturday, November 14 at 10am, Class Fee-$15.00
We will use the Sunny Day Simply Scrappin Kit (page 164 in the Idea Book and Catalog) to make a card portfolio and 8 cards! (envelopes can be purchased at the class for .25 a piece if you need them). This class can be done as a "mail order" where I will make the projects for you and send them to you for an additional $5.00

Gettin Punchy-Tuesday, November 24 at 7pm, Class Fee $20.00
This month the featured punch is the 5-petal flower punch!  Come to class and you will receive the 5-petal flower punch and make a variety of cards/projects that use "punch art", in particular, the 5 petal flower punch! Class fee is $20.00 and includes the punch for you to take home! The punch alone would cost you $15.95 plus tax/shipping. This class can be done as "mail order" where I will make the projects for you and send them to you, along with the punch, for an additional $5.00.

Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stack-Monday, November 30 at 7pm, Class Fee $25.00
Christmas is coming! Get a jump start on your Christmas cards and make 20 beautiful handmade Christmas cards for $25.00.  Envelopes are included in the class fee.  Choices for your cards will be made available on my blog.  You can mix and match from 5 card designs!  This is a wonderful way to show your friends and family you care. Everyone loves a handmade card!

Please RSVP as soon as you know you plan to come to a class! Many of these require me to order materials in so the earlier you sign up, the better!

I have not given up on a Stamp Club!  If you are interested, please contact me.  One idea would be rather than meeting every month, we could meet every other month.
