Which Black Ink Pad Should You Use?

A lot has transpired in the last three years since my last blog post on here!  One thing is the new Stampin' Blends, as well as a variety of black stamp pad options available through Stampin' Up!  I wanted to take a minute to give you a little rundown of what is out there and when each black ink pad should be used.
The Archival Black Stampin' Pad is a permanent, water-based, acid-free ink.  It makes a beautiful, bold black impression with your stamps!  It is a great choice to use for water-coloring techniques using the blender pens or aqua painters.  It is also a great choice if you are going to use your Stampin' Write Markers to color images in.

The Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad is a water-based, acid-free ink.  It works great with the new Stampin' Blends alcohol based markers.  When you are coloring stamped images in, you want to use opposites.  So if your markers are alcohol-based, then you want to stamp your image in a water-based ink and vice-versa.

Hope this tip helps you!  Happy Stamping!
